MADNESS
MNM™️ partnered with director Henry Scholifed to create a music video that bends reality, taking the audience through a kaleidoscope lens of a surreal world. We sought to break boundaries while incorporating our capabilities in the works, finding the balance between work and wonder. Given that it's Ed Sheeran, we aimed for a video that is on par with his status, epic and prestigious. The music video quickly turns into a bizarre rabbit hole of madness, while Ed and company dance while the world around them morphs.
METHOD
Filmed in Ukraine by Radioaktive and assembled here by MNM™️ in Singapore, we painted a picture and plunged the viewers into it with the manipulation of characters, vehicles, and buildings. Using the footage given by No.8, our team was hard at work toward the magic. With our roto team paired with CG production crew, we spearheaded through Camera tracking of scenes, rotoscoping of characters and a final clean up to provide a kaleidoscopic world.

Our lead CG Artist, Alex Scollay, has created an intricate and entrancing world that resembles something out of a Doctor Strange movie. Structures intertwine within one another all made from the building complexes creating a beautiful display of visuals.

Lil Baby’s feature had him performing through the compound. Due to scheduling conflicts Lil Baby was digitally incorporated by Rotoscoping, tracking his movements, clean up and color grading to have him seamlessly alongside Ed.

IMPACT
Gathering over 41 million views within 5 months, Ed Sheeran's 2 Step is hitting audiences across the globe. Moreover, the video served as a fundraiser for Ukraine's Humanitarian Funds. All proceeds to the video went into helping the people in Ukraine.
